I think it'd be useful to have the option of having an email sent to you if a board topic is posted to. The way I see it, on the board topic, you could click a link or check something that would set this option. It would only send you an email once if it was updated, until you log in again. Then it would be reset to send another one.
I'm not sure I have explained this well, so if anyone wants clarification, just ask. What does everyone think?

That sounds pretty nifty. If it could be optional and not just automatic, I think that would be nice because those users who didn't want that feature wouldn't have to use it. Everyone might be happy then? Well, okay, so that's a bit of a stretch...but at least the effort to satisfy everyone would be there.

Exactly. Now that I'm more awake, to clarify, I'm thinking something like the comment alerts on LJ if that helps anyone understand.

i like it a lot. best idea i've heard all day
